Lumas Winds are a multi-award winning quintet at the forefront of the new generation of wind ensembles, and have been described as an ‘effervescent wind quintet, lively in their performance style and enterprising in their choice of repertoire’ (Seen and Heard International). Committed ambassadors for wind chamber music and the rich variety of repertoire it offers, they were guests on BBC's Radio 3 'In Tune' in May 2026.
Violinist Michał Ćwiżewicz and pianist Emma Abbate present Folklore - a colourful programme of works inspired by folk music, which includes Dvořák's violin sonatina with its American-inspired melodies, Debussy's violin sonata capturing flamboyant Spanish and gipsy colours, and Bartok’s much-loved Romanian Folk Dances.
The Rhossili duo are an Australian and Welsh flute and guitar pair. They have been awarded the Young Artists Platform for the 2025/2026 season with the International Guitar Foundation, making their debut at Kings Place London. Alongside recitals, they work with Wye Valley Music, providing outreach performances in primary schools and dementia care homes.
Their programme will include music by Béla Bartók, Piazzolla, Stephen Goss, Ravel and others.
Emma Smith and Sam Rodwell first performed for The Knighton and District Concert Society in 2015 soon after graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music. They were so popular that they came back in 2023 and are with us again in 2027.
Praised by Craig Ogden as "two of the UK's brightest young stars of the guitar," the duo has consistently captivated audiences across the UK.
Ensemble Quorum last performed for us in 2023 and the programme this time will include works for piano and wind by Poulenc, Mozart and Thuile.
